Our Voices Matter - Maryland, Inc. empowers communities through civic engagement. We organize Maryland residents from underrepresented communities, teach them to be effective grassroots leaders and activists, and work with them to identify issues, work toward solutions and reduce disparities. Our Voices Matter - Maryland, Inc:
- Conducts research and community forums on issues affecting underrepresented communities
- Facilitates leadership training on community organizing and issue advocacy 
- Mentors community organizer interns, typically young people, ages 16-25
- Coordinates nonpartisan voter registration and community service activities
