Growing up with Mama Sherry Habif was a daily culinary adventure. Savory cakes, casseroles, pies and lavish desserts consumed every inch of our home in her quest to both feed the masses of her catering business and to fatten me up! Blocks of white chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and candies were readily available for constant sweet tooth cravings. Trips to Paris, London, and New York City just to sample the exquisite and grand tastes of the world were standard fare. Waking up on Sunday mornings to her decadent French Toast Casserole and Scrumptious Challah and Egg Souffle defined the term "Brunch" to our family. Her heart's desire was to make my family's world a little more comfy and loving, and of course, to provide me and everyone we knew with something warm and yummy for our tummies. Unequivocally, Mama Sherry taught me to see the world through taste and amazingly delicious experiences...and that is the sole purpose of Oy!...to provide everyone with a little Overindulgent Yumminess! Whether it's your first or thousandth visit, I hope that you get a little taste of the loving, caring, and sweetness that Mama Sherry imparted on me!
