Palo Verde College is a community college in Blythe, California, serving the higher education needs of the Palo Verde Valley. It opened in 1947 and relocated to a 200-acre campus overlooking Blythe in 2001, as the Palo Verde Community College District expanded in 1999 to include Needles. The Needles Center operates in the renovated Claypool Building, which opened in 2009. The college offers certificates, associate degrees, and transfer programs, with on-campus classes and options for distance learning and interactive iTV education to accommodate diverse schedules. The student body includes learners of different ages and backgrounds pursuing on-campus study, remote education, or continuing education to gain skills and transfer opportunities. As part of the Palo Verde Community College District, PVC has engaged in partnerships and community outreach, including a 2024 collaboration with Arizona State University to offer the MyPath2ASU program.
