Papersmith & Son is a specialty paper merchant serving the commercial print industry with a broad range of paper substrates. It represents materials from leading European mills, including Fedrigoni and Gruppo Cordenons, and carries Cyclus from Dalum, now owned by Arjo Wiggins. The collection includes designer-focused lines such as Wild, Plike, Savile Row, Stardream and Natural Evolution, along with a selection of CSI grades. The company is based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, and traces its origins to 1994, with leadership handed to Rob Haden-Smith in 2004. In 2004 it launched the PaperCafe in Melrose Estate to display its range and support interaction with designers, printers and corporate clients, while maintaining a reserve stock system and offering a rapid airfreight option when needed.
