Partners for Sacred Places is a national, non-sectarian nonprofit founded in 1989 that supports congregations of historic sacred places to function as community anchors. It focuses on expanding leadership capacity and organizational capability to care for buildings, form shared-use partnerships, and pursue capital fundraising through training, assistance, and facility assessments. With offices in Philadelphia, Chicago, and Fort Worth, the organization has worked with thousands of congregations and local groups.
It represents the needs of more than 100,000 older sacred places across the United States and situates itself within the religious institutions sector as a resource for sustaining historic properties and their community programs. A recent development noted is the March 2025 announcement of the winners of the 2024 Faith & Form Awards for Religious Architecture & Art.
