Peconic Bay Medical Center is a not-for-profit hospital in Riverhead, New York, founded in 1951 as Central Suffolk Hospital. It is the largest hospital in eastern Suffolk County and serves as the Eastern Hub of Northwell Health, the largest health system in New York. The 200-bed community hospital provides advanced services including an interventional cardiac catheterization laboratory, a Level III Trauma Center, and a NYS designated Stroke Center, and it coordinates a network of primary and specialty physician offices, a 60-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, and Suffolk County's largest certified home health agency. 

The organization operates a community based ambulatory and urgent care campus in Manorville and supports education through internship and residency programs as a major clinical campus for the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and a radiologic technology program affiliated with SUNY Empire State College. It serves a population of more than 250,000 residents in Riverhead, eastern central Suffolk County, and Long Island's North Fork, providing acute care along with rehabilitation and home health services. In 2025, PBMC was reported to acquire Nuvance Health, marking a notable expansion in the regional health care landscape.
