The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization that serves as the regional business association for Knox, Waldo, and northern Lincoln counties in Maine. It was created in 2011 when two local chambers merged—the Camden-Rockport-Lincolnville Chamber and the Rockland-Thomaston Area Chamber. Based in Rockland, Maine, the chamber operates with a small staff and relies on its membership to support activities aimed at fostering a vibrant region and a high quality of life. It ranks as the fourth-largest chamber in Maine and the largest chamber serving smaller coastal communities, reflecting its role as a membership-driven community organization in the area. In fall 2023, the board appointed an interim president and CEO, with Gordon Page taking on the interim leadership role. In December 2023, the chamber launched an initiative described as its family of friends to connect with community members unable to be with their families for Christmas.
