The organization serves pet owners, industry professionals, and others who support the pet care sector, offering educational programs and opportunities for collaboration to influence policy and public understanding. In 2025 it appointed Sandy Moore as chief executive and launched The Network of Advocates, a grassroots initiative to empower industry professionals to engage in policy advocacy.
