Phase Separation Science, Inc. (PSS) is a full service environmental testing laboratory located near Baltimore, MD.  PSS has offered a reliable 5-day standard sample turnaround time, where the industry standard is 2 to 3 weeks. Many labs say they can offer a 5 day turnaround, but few can do it day in and day out as we have for over 25 years. 

Rapid sample turnaround has always been our specialty. Our claim to fame has always been our ability to do what other labs can’t. We routinely provide 3 day, 2 day, next day and emergency service on most of our analytical offerings. When time matters, we deliver, that’s why we have such a loyal client following and excellent client retention. Few labs can make that claim.

PSS became National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) accredited before it was required as a demonstration of our commitment to quality.  We are NELAP accredited in Pennsylvania and Virginia for drinking water, non-potable water and solid samples. Additionally, we have maintained certification consistently in our home state of Maryland and in West Virginia.  PSS also routinely provides data for compliance with regulatory programs in Delaware and the District of Columbia.

To date we have performed well over a million analyses for client projects meeting RCRA, NPDES (CWA) and Safe Drinking Water Act requirements.  As we work through our third decade of operation we have maintained the experience and consistency often lacking in our industry.

We make it easy!  Not only do we provide sample bottle kits we also, as a convenience to our client, offer commonly used field sampling supplies such as gloves, bailers, tubing, DI water etc. Additionally, we provide courier service to pick up samples and provide you 24/7 access to your data through our WebLIMs portal.
