Founded in 1989, the Piedmont Park Conservancy is a nonprofit organization that operates in partnership with the city of Atlanta to preserve Piedmont Park as a welcoming, iconic destination for the region’s neighborhoods. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, the Conservancy coordinates capital improvements and ongoing stewardship efforts to support the park’s role as a shared community asset. Through its activities, it seeks to enhance the park’s appearance and usability for park visitors and program participants.

Its work includes detailed landscaping, volunteer projects, and capital projects that improve areas such as the Active Oval, dog parks, pool, EnviroVentures Camp, tours, facility rentals, Green Market, and field trips, while also advising event organizers on best practices to protect the park and ensure a positive user experience. The Conservancy engages with a broad audience of park users and community groups in metro Atlanta. In 2026, the organization announced that tickets were on sale for its 29th Annual Landmark Luncheon to be held at The Promenade at Piedmont Park.
