Founded in 1999 by Long Island native Robert “Bobby” DeMasco, Pierless Fish Corp has from the start focused on local and sustainable products. This philosophy was not a by-product of Brooklyn’s emerging food movement ethos so much as it was common sense. Without a focus on ethical and sustainable harvesting practices, the fishing industry simply can’t survive. Over the years, our commitment to excellence and education has revolutionized what was once considered an antiquated business. While we pride ourselves on cultivating close personal relationships on the docks and in the kitchen, we are also committed to offering a wide variety of unique and non-traditional fish fare. We strive to provide an informed and inspired marketplace, providing the customer a more in-depth understanding of not only what they are purchasing, but also why. Pierless has, through the years, grown in size alongside our clients and suppliers, while maintaining our same tight knit production team.
