Pima County Joint Technical Education District (JTED) provides career and technical education through partnerships with local business, industry, and community stakeholders. Based in Tucson, Arizona, it offers free programs to high school students in its member districts, including GED earners under 22 who have not earned a high school diploma. Serving 13,462 students across more than 25 programs at 36 high schools and nine central campuses, the district spans more than 10,000 square miles in Pima County, Rio Rico and San Manuel, and provides pathways to industry certification, college credit, internships, and direct-to-employment opportunities. Curriculum guidance comes from industry input, with 12 business leaders serving on its Business and Industry Advisories and 15 advisory committees informing program directions. In October 2024, the Mel & Enid Zuckerman Center for Health and Medical Careers opened, marking a notable expansion.
