PlatteForum is a Denver-based non-profit organization that partners youth with professional artists to produce arts and social justice projects, culminating in public exhibitions. Its programs foster safe spaces for creative self-expression, belonging, and self-discovery, while delivering youth development through hands-on artistic experience.
The organization operates an Artist Residency, supporting a small cohort of artists to develop new work and share their process with youth and the broader community. It also administers ArtLab, a paid, year-round internship for high school students from historically under-resourced communities, pairing them with resident artists for meaningful arts-based learning, mentorship, and wrap-around support that includes mental wellness tools and college and career planning. PlatteForum is situated in Colorado and has been active since 2002, serving the regional arts and education landscape through its programs.
