Pledge 1% is a global movement on a mission to inspire, educate, and empower every company to leverage their unique assets for good. We see a future where social impact becomes the new business norm, and companies of all sizes and stages collectively leverage their strengths and assets to tackle the toughest social issues of our time. The Pledge 1% movement was seeded by Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, who committed 1% of Salesforce’s product, time, and equity (dubbed the 1-1-1 model) to be a force for good and attract aligned employees. Scott Farquhar, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Atlassian, added 1% of profit to the concept to round out what eventually became the Pledge 1% flexible framework for giving. On Giving Tuesday 2014, Atlassian and Salesforce challenged 500 companies to Pledge 1% by Giving Tuesday 2015, spearheading a global movement that is now 19,000 companies strong.
