The Police Athletic League of Philadelphia (PAL) is a non-profit organization based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It coordinates a program model in which Philadelphia Police Officers, supported by civilian staff, offer educational, athletic, and recreational activities across 18 PAL Centers in some of the city’s highest-crime and lowest-income neighborhoods. The centers provide free programs and events and serve more than 18,000 youth in Philadelphia. The organization aims to reduce crime, promote character development, and improve educational outcomes, striving to be a leading youth-serving entity in the city. PAL operates with a small to mid-sized team. A recent development is a partnership announced in early 2024 with AT&T to donate hundreds of laptops to Philadelphia students.
