Polimoda is a higher education institution and fashion school in Florence, Italy, combining Italian design heritage with an international outlook. The school serves about 2,000 students, with roughly 80% international from 107 countries, and it employs a faculty of over 200 industry professionals. It offers about 70 programs across undergraduate (2-4 years), master’s (approximately 9 months), short courses (about 1 month), online formats, and orientation or semester options. Polimoda operates across two Florence campuses, Villa Favard and Manifattura Tabacchi, within a 15,000+ square meter educational hub with labs for apparel, footwear, leather goods, knitwear, textile research, and photography. Since 2022, Polimoda has collaborated with the United Nations Office for Partnerships to help design the future of fashion around sustainability, inclusivity, and climate action, becoming the first academic institution to join the UN Conscious Fashion and Lifestyle Network. As of 2026, Polimoda is chaired by Niccolò Ricci and directed by Massimiliano Giornetti.
