Portland Burn Survivors Inc. is open for business.
Survivors require support; financial, physical and emotional. It's necessary to heal and allow for future reconstructive surgeries. It's time consuming and can be overwhelming. We hope that we can remove some financial burden.

Burn injuries commonly involve years of recovery. Some survivors have lost loved ones, careers, physical function and the sense of personal identity. Post-hospitalization is another corner fraught with adaptation issues (how do you install a shower seat?) and pain that has to be handled carefully; it may take trial & error to find the right cocktail to insure pain management, which causes stress as well.

Burn Survivors are from every segment of humanity, every age, race, class and gender. We are individual’s, our injuries do not define us. PBS tries to cater to individuality; yet also tries to connect survivors together. We have fun, do different things every month and we always want to meet friends and family. Burn's affect loved ones as well.

With life there’s hope. Portland Burn Survivors is devoted to happiness, and you don't have to be from Portland, that's just our address.
