Positively Groundfish is a small nonprofit trade association based in Brookings, Oregon, that unites a diverse set of stakeholders in the West Coast groundfish fishery, including fishermen, fish processors, environmental advocates, certifiers, academic researchers, and state agencies. Its mission is to cultivate consumer appreciation for West Coast groundfish and to differentiate rockfish and sole in the market, with the aim of supporting the long-term economic health of local fishing communities. Positively Groundfish emphasizes cross-sector collaboration to align industry, research, and regulatory perspectives in pursuit of a more stable market for West Coast groundfish. In 2025 it launched Catch+Create, a seafood accelerator designed to drive product innovation in the West Coast groundfish sector.
