PMCV seeks to improve the educational and training opportunities available to support the welfare and career development of doctors, graduate nurses and midwives who have recently graduated or commenced work in the Victorian health system. Through our work, we aspire to promote safe, high-quality and accessible healthcare and a sustainable, highly motivated and effective health workforce. Our primary areas of work include Accreditation, Education and Training, and Medical Workforce. PMCV is approved as an intern training accreditation authority by the Medical Board of Australia and has been authorised to review postgraduate year 2 (PGY2) posts by the Department of Health. PMCV’s vision is to create excellent training environments and opportunities for medical prevocational trainees. We do this by enabling, supporting and advocating for medical prevocational trainees through our experiences in career progression, the accreditation of training environments and education and training. PMCV also fosters collaborative relationships to promote equitable, high-quality medical training across Victoria.
