Powernext SAS, incorporated in 2001, is an energy exchange and part of EEX Group. EEX Group, in turn, is the commodity arm of Deutsche Börse AG. Located in the historic heart of Paris, Powernext manages the natural gas activities of the EEX Group under the PEGAS brand throughout Europe. The European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) holds 100% of Powernext's shares. In addition to their core activity gas business, Powernext also provides further services related to energy. It has been appointed by a decree from the French Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy, as the National Registry for electricity guarantees of origin in France. These certificates enable market participants to trade green electricity. Powernext constantly enhances its customer-oriented service and delivers it with the utmost reliability and integrity. In particular, Powernext focuses on providing the highest degree of price transparency and tailor-made trading platforms which meet the specific requirement for each product.
