PRAB, Inc. is a U.S.-based industrial equipment manufacturer aligned with KMC Global, with more than 75 years of experience in metal scrap handling, chip processing, coolant recycling, fluid filtration, and wastewater treatment. Headquartered in Kalamazoo, Michigan, it designs and builds capital equipment and turnkey systems for metalworking, machining, stamping, forging, die casting, and precision manufacturing across automotive, aerospace, defense, medical, energy, and general industrial markets. The product portfolio includes metal scrap conveyors, chip processing, briquetters and wringers, coolant recycling systems, separators, pH and oil/water separation, and comprehensive fluid management; each system is customized to the customer's materials, chip types, fluids, and production environment. PRAB is pursuing Industry 4.0 readiness by developing IoT-enabled systems with remote monitoring and predictive maintenance that can integrate with automated machining cells and robotics.

These systems help manufacturers recover coolant, recycle metal scrap, treat process wastewater, and reduce fluid disposal volumes, supporting environmental compliance and ESG goals, while offering ongoing service through the company's Managed Maintenance Program. A 2021 product development included the Auto-Take Up System, a conveyor enhancement that automatically tightens belts.
