Pratham Books is a nonprofit publisher focused on children's literature, founded in 2004 and based in Bangalore, Karnataka. It aims to publish high-quality, affordable books in multiple Indian languages to broaden access to reading for children. To date, the organization has produced more than 3,000 titles and distributed millions of storybooks and story cards.

In 2015 it expanded into digital publishing, licensing its content and launching StoryWeaver, a platform that hosts stories in Indian languages and beyond under open licenses that allow reading, translation, versioning, or free download. Pratham Books also operates Donate-a-book, a crowdfunding platform that connects donors with schools, organizations, and individuals in need of children's books. The ongoing focus is on multilingual publishing to ensure every child can access good books in a language they understand.
