Princeton Engineering Group, LLC is a full service consulting engineering firm headquartered in Princeton, NJ.
Services include the design of mechanical and electrical systems for new buildings, restoration and rehabilitation of existing structures, feasibility studies, master planning and system design for historic structures. Design for sustainability is a hallmark of our practice.

The principal engineers at the Princeton Engineering Group (PEG) have been involved with major New Jersey projects since 1986, most notably for renovations to the New Jersey State House Complex in Trenton. They began their practice in Princeton in 1992, and the firm was incorporated in 1999.

Since our founding, we have expanded to serve clients elsewhere in the region. The firm is licensed to practice engineering in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Washington, D.C.

The Princeton Engineering Group is conversant with local codes and requirements, as well as regional institutions. Our history of close association with architectural firms has afforded us unique insights into architectural methods, practices and coordination.

PEG is certified as a Small Business Enterprise. We are LEED and GBI accredited and are an approved partner in the New Jersey Pay for Performance program. Our office is pre-approved for mechanical and electrical engineering design services and has open extended contract agreements with a number of organizations and agencies.

The Princeton Engineering Group prides itself on selecting and designing appropriate systems for each particular project. While we take advantage of the latest technical advances when these improve performance, we focus on designs that are buildable and maintainable.

Intrinsic to each of our projects is an emphasis on systems and equipment that, within the constraints of the building architecture and budget, reduce energy costs and minimize adverse environmental impact through application of high-efficiency components and appropriate controls. Where suitable, we utilize energy recovery and renewable energy resources, such as solar and geothermal systems. The firm is knowledgeable about LEED certification requirements, and back up recommendations related to major sustainability investments with Life Cycle Costs Analysis.

The engineers at PEG have established an excellent record of completing projects on time, designing within budget and estimating and controlling costs. Much of the practice involves work with existing buildings, and we are skilled at anticipating and identifying hidden problems and costs.
