Procemex is a mid-sized Finnish company based in Jyväskylä, Central Finland, established in 1993, that operates in the machine vision space for the pulp, paper, and printing industries. It focuses on web monitoring and inspection to prevent web breaks and downtime by applying optical imaging and processing starting from the camera sensor, and develops fast, accurate smart-camera solutions for paper manufacturers and printers worldwide. The company positions itself as a single-source machine vision provider covering the process from start to final product shipping, including lifetime management services. Its customers include global paper and packaging producers, such as Nippon Dynawave Packaging, which selected Procemex for a three-dimensional web-inspection solution for its L3 product line. In June 2024, Andritz Oy announced the acquisition of Procemex, a notable recent development.
