Programs for Parents supports children, families and child care providers through education, advocacy, referrals and access to available financial resources. From our first days in 1984, the mission of Programs for Parents has been to serve and strengthen families and children. That has also been our daily work. Our mission hasn’t changed. Our work has. It has expanded to meet the growing need for skilled and nurturing care for our children. People sometimes ask why our company is called Programs for Parents instead of Programs for Children. The answer is that in this uncertain world we know one thing for sure: only by strengthening families can children get the best start in life. That’s why at PfP we use all our professional skills, our research capability, our eyes, ears, and creativity to bring an every-growing range of services to the community—services to help parents, Family Child Care Providers, and Child Care Centers balance the complex needs of today’s families and children.
