Project Drawdown is a mid-sized nonprofit based in St. Paul, Minnesota, known for serving as a resource on science-based climate solutions. The organization conducts advanced research to identify effective climate solutions and designs strategies to bring them to scale, then shares findings through science communication, campaigns, and media partnerships. Its work rests on three pillars—Science, Stakeholders, and Stories—that together emphasize rigorous science, engagement of key actors, and storytelling to broaden the climate conversation.

Its audience includes policymakers, community leaders, philanthropists, investors, and business leaders, whom it informs and empowers to adopt the most effective solutions. As a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, it positions itself as an independent, internationally trusted source for climate strategy. In 2026, Drawdown Labs launched Carbon in Context, a new tool for communicating climate change.
