project:HOMES is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Richmond, Virginia.   

We improve lives through the production and preservation of affordable housing. Our programs serve low-income families, seniors, and individuals with accessibility needs through affordable housing, energy conservation, and health & safety modifications. Each year we improve the lives of more than 2,000 families and our waiting lists continue to grow. Our work helps families stay in their homes and live in high-quality housing. It prevents widespread losses in low- and moderate-income homeownership and helps stabilize communities.

We empower volunteers, conserve energy, transform neighborhoods and improve lives. More than 1,000 volunteers make home repairs and build wheelchair ramps through the project:HOMES Renew Crew program. This volunteer work allows at-risk individuals to remain in their homes and live independently, safely and affordably.
