Protech Lab Corp is a state-of-the-art materials testing laboratory specializing in the testing and characterization of thermal spray processes; which includes: coatings, raw powder, as well as welds and weld overlays. Since the inception of Protech Lab Corp, our business has grown  to encompass a world wide customer base and service to an array of industries.

Protech Lab Corp was founded by Kenneth and Kathie Couch, on October 19, 1990; as a materials testing laboratory dedicated to servicing the needs of the coatings industry. Protech Lab Corp metallurgical evaluations have expanded over the years to include areas such as weld evaluations, paint evaluations, general structure, composites, and other materials.  In 1990, when the company was formed, the initial industry serviced was aircraft engine components.  Today, thousands of specimens per year are routinely polished and evaluated for many industries.
