Purkey Insurance has been a trusted independent agency for three generations - beginning in 1952 when Wallace Purkey Sr. started selling insurance from his home in Moline, Ohio. A few years later his son, Wally Jr, started an agency in Genoa. The two agencies merged forces in the 1970's and moved to an office in Northwood where we remain to this day. The current owner and third generation family member is Robin Purkey VanGorder, who joined the agency in 1979.
