Purkey Insurance has been a trusted independent agency for three generations - beginning in 1952 when Wallace Purkey Sr. started selling insurance from his home in Moline, Ohio. A few years later his son, Wally Jr, started an agency in Genoa. The two agencies merged forces in the 1970's and moved to an office in Northwood where we remain to this day. The current owner and third generation family member is Robin Purkey VanGorder, who joined the agency in 1979. We take great pride in honoring the three founding principles of our agency: Get to know our customers and provide them with exceptional service. Offer innovative insurance products through a variety of solid insurance carriers. Support our community and charitable organizations. While holding on to traditional business practices, we also embrace the advances of our times. We offer new choices for types of policies, various payment options and ways to send and receive documents. We're always finding new ways to make doing business easier - while maintaining the service our clients deserve.
