Q Urological is privately owned, hands-on organization introducing new products based on our novel very high aqueous content Aguamedicina™ structural hydrogel biomaterial. The technology is not a coating but rather the entire device is comprised of this material which in a solid phase is up to 90% aqueous. The Q Urological™ Aguamedicina™ Persistent™ and FUSELAGE™ Ureteral Stents are similar to predicate devices in delivery, anchorage, and retrieval. However they are packaged sterile saturated in saline; they  are much softer and more flexible exhibiting significant lubricity, advanced easily through an endoscope working channel or through a urethral sheath over a guidewire. 

Once implanted Aguamedicina™ device absorbs physiological energies generally responsible for device migration. In this manner, the Aguamedicina™ Persistent™ and FUSELAGE™ Ureteral Stent will act like a spring or shock absorber maintaining position until removal is required.

Fuselage and Persistent Aguamedicina ureteral stents have a shape memory wire form at each end embedded in the wall of the stent, activated at body temperature  they firm up into a pigtail anchorage profile.  Fuselage brand variation is comprised with a wire form end to end embedded in the wall  which resists physiological external compression forces. This provides for a superior prostate stent / catheter as well as ureteral stent.
