Qcept Technologies operates in the semiconductor manufacturing sector, offering inspection systems designed for non-visual defects. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, the company is described as a world leader in Non-Visual Defect inspection. Its ChemetriQ inspection systems help fabs improve yield by identifying defects such as sub-monolayer metallic and organic contaminants and process-induced charge signatures, issues that traditional optical inspection cannot detect.

Its customers are semiconductor fabrication facilities looking to mitigate yield loss caused by surface nonuniformities invisible to standard optical methods. The company is positioned in a specialized corner of the semiconductor equipment industry and is based in the Atlanta region with a small to mid-sized workforce.
