As a spin-out technology from the Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, along with funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), QT Medical has launched its first revolutionary cardiac device that will change the way heart health is managed.

The first product, the Personal Cardiac Assistant™ (PCA 500) is the world's most technologically robust, lightweight, and compact hospital-grade 12-lead ECG system commercially available today. This device weighs 2.3 ounces & is less than 3 inches square in size. It is smaller than a deck of cards, fits in a shirt pocket or a mailing envelope, and utilizes phone/tablet apps. It is FDA-cleared, and CE marked. The proprietary single-use, self-adhesive sensor replaces traditional electrodes/wires. This sensor alone saves 70% of the requisite time involved in conducting ECGs and it virtually eliminates testing errors related to misplacement of electrodes/cables. 

In clinical studies, the PCA 500 showed over 96% equivalency when compared to a Philips ECG device in test results and it was proven that over 94% of patients with no formal training can successfully complete a 12-lead ECG test with the PCA 500 after reading simple written instructions. The PCA 500 system enables patients to perform 12-lead ECG tests in the comfort of their homes, while at the same time providing physicians access to test results anytime…from anywhere.
