In tandem with its Quattro Alliance academic and professionals team, Quattro created and pioneered the utilization of its Living Soil Membrane (“LSM”) custom-designed seeding technologies dedicated to successfully re-establish sustainable native plant growth on ALL damaged soils, but especially disturbed soils in harsh environments.

To the extent landscapes are disturbed in the course of mining, highway construction, oil and gas drilling et al., such disturbances are required to be reclaimed to their former pristine condition because of aesthetic, wildlife habitat and/or erosion control reasons.  Unfortunately, even here in the U.S., most revegetation efforts that utilize conventional seeding practices are unsuccessful.  Quattro’s LSM technologies changed that dismal performance record by uniquely focussing on re-establishing a functioning soil community, as opposed to the conventional practices fixation on “band-aid” topical blanket treatments.

One of our two product lines (BIND Series) “holds soil” in place with an array of soil binders and tackifiers that create a lattice-like membrane in the upper soil surface.  Once soil is stable, we begin the process of revegetating the soil with native plants to achieve long term erosion control.  To accomplish this task our second product line (GROW Series) “grows soil” with protein-rich nutrients and humate-fortified biostimulants designed to revitalize the living organisms of a functioning soil community, while simultaneously working to improve soil structure for oxygen/moisture and minerals enhancement.

All of Quattro’s GROW Series products are manufactured in the U.S.  Our clients - who include Shell Oil, Rio Tinto, Hyundai, Central AZ Project, the U.S. Federal Highway and select Western States DOT agencies - have graduated from the failure and exorbitant expense of “low bid” approaches to addressing Nature’s challenges, and have come to appreciate the team-oriented “Best Value” approach to reclamation success.
