Rainbow Municipal Water District is a special California governmental agency governed under the California Water Code that provides water and sanitation services. It serves the unincorporated communities of Rainbow, Bonsall, Oceanside, and part of Fallbrook, in northwestern San Diego County. The district operates more than 9,200 water meters across about 80 square miles, supplying agricultural and residential customers, and it collects and transports wastewater for approximately 2,800 customers to a treatment facility in Oceanside.
