Rainier Athletes' mission is to champion the unlimited possibility of our youth in and out of the classroom by igniting connection through 1:1 mentorship, self-discovery, and access to opportunity. 

Powered by a quickly growing community of mentors, the organization works collaboratively to mobilize a network of teachers, coaches, mentors, and families around the community's youth furthest from educational and social justice, ultimately cultivating a more inclusive environment for all. Each day of the school week, over 250 Bellevue School District teachers lean on the Rainier Athletes model in their classrooms to strengthen connections with some of their students.

Each student is fully sponsored year-round to participate in extracurricular activities, paired with a dedicated mentor who meets with them weekly, and motivated to achieve both on and off the field through Rainier Athletes’ classroom engagement and self-advocacy model. Rainier Athletes makes a long-term investment in each student, first selecting a students in fifth grade and continuing support through high school graduation.
