The Rapid City Public Libraries is a library system serving the Rapid City area in South Dakota. It functions as a community connector, aiming to anticipate needs, develop resources and foster connections for a diverse population. Patrons have access to a range of materials and services, including electronic books and movies, print books, computers and Wi-Fi, and a variety of programs for all ages. The system operates across three locations: Downtown Library at 610 Quincy Street; North Library in General Beadle School at 10 N. Van Buren Street; and East Library at WDT, 800 Mickelsen Dr. The organization plans to offer one-on-one librarian appointments to assist with computer skills and information gathering. In December 2024, a partnership with the Rapid City Arts Council was announced to host Big Read Rapid City, an initiative to encourage the community to read together.
