Ratcliffe Architects was formed to focus on client customization, specifically with private commercial development and custom high-end residential projects. Since 2000, the thriving firm has grown largely through reputation and referral business and now offers the services of eleven architectural professionals, drafting services as well as administrative staff.  

We believe an Architect’s approach to design reflects the balance between the Owner’s vision, building function and cost considerations. At meetings we provide sketches drawn by hand to allow for a direct and clear transfer of design ideas.  Architectural design evolves during this process so that all team members can contribute and focus on programming issues for the Project. 

Architecture today is created by technology and materials that have improved our lives. New research into human needs offer exciting opportunities to enhance the form and function of architectural spaces.

Fifty years of combined experience in both the design and technical aspects of construction provide the background necessary to utilize both established and newer research.  We have the ability to work with the design team as active facilitator in the development of effective and appropriate schemes for residential, commercial, and institutional projects.
