Red Feather believes safe, healthy homes are the foundation for healthy families and communities. Our mission is to partner with Indigenous communities to develop and implement lasting and impactful housing solutions. We achieve our mission by improving homes, teaching home construction, providing employment and job training opportunities, and forging sustainable building practices and community partnerships.  

Our approach is unique because we build and improve homes in partnership with tribal members, as opposed to building homes for them. Our programs equip tribal members with training and tools to address housing issues, utilizing their own community and human resources.  Ultimately, lasting change can only come from within the community
