Regione Lazio is the regional government authority for the Lazio region in central Italy. Based in Rome, it is one of the larger public administrations in the country, serving a population of about 5.9 million—the second-most populous Italian region after Lombardy. The region borders Tuscany to the northwest, Umbria to the north, Marche to the northeast, Abruzzo and Molise to the east, and Campania to the southeast, and it contains the Vatican City enclave within its territory. It operates as the governing body for Lazio, coordinating public administration and services across the region and employing a substantial workforce. A concrete recent development is Regione Lazio’s attendance at Maker Faire Rome 2025.
