Renovagen has developed a patented portable solar power system called "RAPID ROLL"​ - a complete "micro-grid in a box"​ solution which includes a solar field that can be unrolled "like a carpet"​ in 2 minutes. Compared with existing solutions, it produces 10 times more power and can be deployed much more quickly. With embedded power cabling - all pre-connected - no electrical connections need to be made on arrival at site so it can be deployed without requiring specialist PV technical skills. The system can be run in automatic hybrid with a diesel generator or grid-connected to provide resilient power supplies

Ideal for disaster relief, military and remote industrial operations, the RAPID ROLL system addresses the need for high power, transportable renewable energy systems which can eliminate the high costs of delivering fuel and maintaining diesel gensets in remote locations, whilst reducing carbon emissions, local pollution and noise pollution in sensitive remote environments. When compared with diesel generators operating in places with a high diesel transportation cost, the product saves money - sometimes providing an ROI break-even in less than a year.

Renovagen has initially launched the RAPID ROLL "T"​ trailer-based system with outputs up to 24kVA, PV capacities of up to 15kWp and battery capacities of up to 70kWh.

Our future scaled-up RAPID ROLL "I"​ ISO containerised systems will have PV capacities of 150kWp - 600kWp and battery capacities up to 500kWh.
