Response Products is a progressive, family-owned company dedicated to the development and marketing of innovative joint health and nutrition products for people and their companion animals. Beginning in Broken Bow, Nebraska, we have grown dramatically as a company since our beginnings in 1998—and are serving customers today on virtually every continent in the world. When Dori and Gary Simonton decided to start the company more than 10 years ago, there were some who thought we were nuts. No, we weren’t nuts. But we were committed. And it’s that commitment that led us first to Dr. Harry Diehl at the National Institute of Health and then to the jungles of Africa to find a better path to joint health for horses, dogs and people, too. That was the beginning. And at the center of it all was cetyl myristoleate—a unique esterified fatty acid discovered by Diehl for its unique joint health properties. Most animal species—including dogs, horses and people—lack the metabolic pathway necessary to synthesize cetyl myristoleate on their own. But at Response Products, we found a way to make it for them—and more. Building on Diehl’s groundbreaking work, we developed a process for synthesizing the industry’s first and only joint health product with a 100 percent plant-derived source of cetyl myristoleate from the African Kombo Nut. And soon thereafter, we developed a whole new family of powerful joint action formulas featuring cetyl myristoleate and other proven joint health ingredients, scientifically formulated to support superior joint health and function in horses, dogs and people.
