Reykjanesbær (Keflavik, Njardvik, Hafnir) is the 5th largest community in Iceland with 14.000 habitants located only 10 minutes away from the only International airport in Iceland and 40 minutes driving distance from the capital Reykjavík.
Reykjanesbær was founded in 1994 with the union of tha municipalities Keflavík, Njarðvík and Hafnir. The city mayor is Árni Sigfússon. He is the uppermost public official in the city and also the director of city operations(CEO). Other public official then control different institution under his authority.
