The Reynolda complex in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, centers on the Reynolda House Museum of American Art, housed in the restored 1917 residence of Katharine and R. J. Reynolds, with gardens and a village nearby. Its collection spans 250 years of American painting, sculpture, prints, photography, and video art, assembled under the direction of Barbara Babcock Millhouse, and presented in the house and the adjacent Charles and Mary Babcock Wing. Beyond the museum, Reynolda Gardens provides formal gardens, meadows, and walking trails that reflect the estate’s landscape heritage, while Reynolda Village offers boutiques, restaurants, and wellness spaces within the estate’s original farm and service buildings. The organization maintains an extensive decorative arts and estate archive collection to support exhibitions and scholarly access. In 2022, Reynolda House launched Grow with Reynolda Gardens to fund short-term, high-impact projects, and it has received preservation recognition for roof and garden restorations.
