Ringway has almost 50 years’ experience as a leading service provider of local authority highways contracts in the United Kingdom. Highways contracts currently operated by Ringway include: London, Plymouth, Bracknell Forest, Hertfordshire, Milton Keynes, Surrey, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. Ringway provides a range of services on these contracts, from winter maintenance to gully cleansing; grass cutting to routine road maintenance and repairs. Ringway began operating two 25-year Private Finance Initiatives (PFIs) in 2013: Hounslow Highways in the London Borough of Hounslow and Island Roads on the Isle of Wight. On both PFIs, a huge programme of street improvements has already begun. Roads, pavements and cycle paths are being upgraded and improved, as well as new LED street lighting installed. In addition, a number of services are being provided such as street cleansing, cleaning graffiti and removing the rubbish left by fly-tippers, as well as the more traditional highways services such as maintaining trees, verges and gritting the roads during winter.
