Robert Irwin Jewelers was founded in 1977 in New York's diamond district by brothers Robert and Irwin, initially producing and distributing gold lockets from a small office. Robert traveled the country to sell their designs, while Irwin ensured manufacturing quality to meet the most demanding customer standards. On a Memphis business trip, the brothers relocated operations and established a shop in Memphis, and by the mid-1980s opened the first public location on Summer Avenue.

The business remains family-owned and is based in Memphis, Tennessee. It concentrates on high-end pieces, including engagement rings, wedding sets, and wedding bands, and historically manufactured its own designs to pass savings to customers. It has become the mid-south’s number one fine jewelry store for engagement rings, wedding sets, and wedding bands.
