Rory Peck Trust is a London-based nonprofit operating in the international affairs sector, focusing on the safety and well-being of freelance journalists. Its work centers on three pillars—training, crisis assistance, and therapy—aimed at empowering reporters with the knowledge, resources, and resilience needed to stay safe, navigate crises, and resume their work after difficult events. By supporting journalists who cover conflicts and other challenging environments, the organization seeks to uphold freedom of expression and the availability of information as a public good for informed societies, particularly where censorship and violence threaten access to reliable reporting.

The Trust serves freelance journalists and the broader journalism community, addressing risks they face on the ground and the mental health consequences of demanding assignments. Positioned within international affairs, it ties its mission to the broader goal of accountability and democratic participation by ensuring on-the-ground reporting remains possible. Based in London and with a staff size described in general terms, Rory Peck Trust also engages with industry partners and supporters, as reflected in recent activities and initiatives.
