Empowering New Yorkers of all backgrounds and abilities through the discipline of rowing and comprehensive academic support. 🚣♂️ Founded in 2002, Row New York is built on the belief that the values instilled through rowing—discipline, teamwork, and perseverance—combined with academic support, create a powerful foundation for success in college and beyond. Our middle and high school rowing program serves student-athletes from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, providing intensive, year-round rowing and academic enrichment at our Queens and Manhattan sites. Beyond the water, we offer tutoring, career preparation, and mental health resources to support the holistic development of our youth, ensuring they are equipped to navigate challenges both in and out of the boat. Our ultimate goal is for 100% of our students to graduate high school and thrive in college. Row New York also offers an adaptive rowing program for children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities. Delivered in both English and Spanish, the program provides tailored workouts for athletes of all abilities, fostering inclusivity and access to the sport. Looking ahead, we are building a state-of-the-art boathouse designed by world-renowned architect Norman Foster—a space that will expand access and opportunity for even more New Yorkers.
