Founded in 1599, our College exists to support the medical profession to deliver the highest possible standards of care for their patients. Today, as health services across the globe face ever greater challenges, we are actively working to support our membership wherever you are in the world. Our community is made up of the expertise and experience of our fifteen thousand outstanding members. We are proud to say we are the only Royal College in the UK who welcomes healthcare professionals across the range of medical and surgical specialties across the UK and worldwide. We are a truly multidisciplinary organisation working together as one to build better healthcare for all. Our global community of inspiring health professionals work together to advance our profession and improve patient care. Many of us give our time freely to develop curricula, set exam questions, and contribute to the development of good health policy. Each year our members volunteer thousands of hours of their collective time to work in partnership with our college staff to develop and deliver relevant, meaningful and inspirational support to other members and prospective members at every stage of their career.
