Sabesp is a mixed-capital utility established in 1973 in Brazil, responsible for supplying water and for collecting and treating sewage across 375 municipalities in the state of São Paulo. It is among the world's largest sanitation operators by population served, delivering water to about 27.9 million people and handling wastewater for roughly 21.5 million residents. It provides advisory services on rational water use and management, with activities in Panama, Honduras and Nicaragua in collaboration with Latin Consult. The company’s shares trade on BM&FBovespa and the NYSE as American Depositary Receipts, reflecting its status as a cross-market listed utility.
